Hi, I’m Dan Trotter, welcome to Wild Like Life, an endless documentary series dedicated to celebrating and conserving wild open spaces, the plants and animals that call these places home and the adventures that await.
Join me, on an adventure across Australia and the rest of the world, exploring diverse ecosystems in far-flung destinations whilst capturing and sharing the stories of conservation efforts and my pursuit of adventure. Expect off-the-grid explorations, 4x4 van living, backcountry hiking x camping, fishing, fly fishing, freediving, national park guides, conservation conversations, great food and interesting people.
I’ve created Wild Like Life to finally pursue my purpose on this planet. That is, to help in the fight for conservation and connect people wherever they are with the natural rhythms of life By doing this and sharing my adventures, I hope to inspire them to reconnect with the natural world themselves and hopefully become better custodians for the remaining habitat that is home to the earth’s remaining wildlife.

Whilst I’m just getting started and planning on releasing a new video every month, very soon the ambition is to have a new YouTube video release every Sunday starting from July this year. The more people that follow what I’m doing the more momentum I can build and more stories I can tell.
I love the craft of filmmaking and storytelling as much as I love the adventure and wild open spaces.
I’ve spent my life preparing for this, to amplify the voices and stories of people fighting the good fight and having a good time on the way.
The creations soon to be released have already become some of our most treasured memories of life together since we met.
